Considering planting with Flatwoods sunflower (Helianthus carnosus), Rayless sunflower (Helianthus radula), Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta var. floridana), Leavenworth’s tickseed (Coreopsis leavenworthii), Dense blazing star (Liatris spicata), Wand goldenrod (Solidago stricta), Narrow leaf ironweed (Vernonia angustifolia), Toothache grass (Ctenium aromaticum) and Rattlesnake master (Eryngium yuccifolium).
Field Notes: Aphids are orange bugs that frequent milkweed. Ignore them and wait for other bugs to eat them or rinse off with water.
