Life Cycle: Perennial, woody and shrub like

Soil Moisture: Dry, well draining, sandy acidic soil

Sun Exposure: Full sun

Height: 3-5’ with equal spread

Bloom Color: Lilac purple

Bloom Time: Fall

Fauna: Excellent nectar source for butterflies and bees

Planting Considerations: Garberia is a woody, shrub like, long lived perennial. Considered planting it with October flower (Polygonella polygama), Pityopsis sp., Liatris sp. and Coastal plain palafox (Palafoxia intergrifolia).

Field Notes: Beautiful grey, silvery-green leaves. Endemic to Florida. Water until established, but don’t overwater. We’ve had excellent results establishing this small pot size, 3.5”,  in the landscape. However they do grow slowly. Some bloomed the first year and some did not but all are growing well.
