Fauna: Excellent source for pollinators including hummingbirds.
Planting Considerations: A favorite for a wildflower garden or meadow. Blooms mostly in the spring. Looks especially lovely when planted near Black seeded needle grass (Piptochaetium avenaceum) as they both tend to bloom around the same time and height.
Field Notes: Over time it may spread by reseeding and by developing pups from the main rosette.
