Planting Considerations: Pineywoods dropseed is a favorite choice for a mixed wildflower planting or anywhere a lower growing grass is wanted. This grass occurs nearly state wide and is suitable for a wide range of soil types. Clumps stay put and are about 1’ in height and 18” wide. Blooming can occur summer through fall with maroon colored spikes reaching 2-3’ in height.
