Planting considerations: White wild indigo is a perennial sub shrub that will go dormant in the winter and reappear in the spring. It has a rounded shrub like form with flower stalks that emerge over the foliage. Naturally occurring in the northern third of Florida in upland flatwoods and sandhills. Long lived. Takes 2-3 years to mature enough to produce blooms. Toxic to dogs. Florida ecotype plants.
