My Florida Meadow Co.
Erigeron strigosus - Prairie Fleabane
Erigeron strigosus - Prairie Fleabane
Life Cycle: Annual, sometimes biennial or perennial
Soil Moisture: dry, medium
Sun Exposure: Full sun
Height: 12 - 30”
Bloom Color: White with yellow centers
Bloom Time: late spring to early fall
Fauna: A valuable nectar source for small bees and butterflies.
Planting Considerations: A very adaptable wildflower common to open areas, ditches and roadsides in the northern two thirds of Florida. Prairie fleabane adds a pop of bright white to a wildflower meadow and will reseed somewhat in open areas acting as a filler among other perennial wildflowers and grasses.
